HYBRIDS EVENTS, NETWORK global heart me designed the event GLOBAL HEART MY RADIO! where the public was invited to follow the night show actively, by bringing and listening to the concert through their own portable fm radio inside the venue. This unique happening took place in an old Armenian monastery, with an international line up with exclusive performances hosted for the first time in turkey. All artists in the line up presented ways to integrates culture/sub culture references in order to re-invent their music and art works. GLOBAL HEART MY RADIO! 20/01/2005, Sanat Merkezi (ISM), Tarlabasi, Istanbul, Turkey, Line up: Global heart me (FR), performed its first live happening concert. Mark Leckey (UK), presented “Istanbul sound system”. Mark Leckey is a renowned British artist, who started his career with the YBA’s of the late nineties, his works and “sound systems” series have been shown in museum and galleries all around the world like: GBE (New York), cabinet/tate/Ica (London) etc. Transformer di roboter (GERMANY), the young Berlin band performed its first Istanbul radio show. Zoltan duphenieux (TCHEK REPUBLIC), dj set “east vs far east”. GLOBAL HEART MY RADIO! Launched an ephemeral radio station in Istanbul. Mathieu Prat broadcasted the radio from Oda Projesi (Istanbul Art collective), with fixed hours daily, it became a micro social tool allowing interesting interaction with the concentrated neighborhood and inviting its residents to contributes to the radio shows. global heart me and Mathieu Prat (bookstr) where invited to give workshops and perform spontaneous FM radio shows at the Istanbul Biennale 2005.
